Welcome to the Vancouver Marathon!
The BMO Vancouver Marathon is wholly organized and operated by the Vancouver International Marathon Society, a non-profit, volunteer run organization.
To make the BMO Vancouver Marathon a reality, the Society relies on a dedicated group of volunteer Board of Directors and over 4,000 invaluable support volunteers, with a single common thread - a love of Wellness and the sport of long distance running. A member of the Association of International Marathons and Road Races (A.I.M.S.), the Society has been in existence since 1986 having organized the first Vancouver International Marathon in 1987, and has been wholly responsible for the staging of this fantastic event.
Our mission is to deliver a marathon event that promotes Vancouvers active lifestyle, engaging participants and community partners to create a positive and memorable experience.
